The UCISA Tech Procurement Community brings together professionals involved in technology procurement, commercial management and supplier engagement across higher and further education. Drawing on the collective expertise of members from a wide range of institutions, the community provides a collaborative forum for sharing knowledge, discussing challenges and exploring opportunities within the technology procurement landscape. The group promotes best practice and thought leadership, helping institutions navigate an increasingly complex digital marketplace while supporting innovation, value for money and effective supplier relationships. By connecting procurement and commercial specialists from across the sector, the community helps ensure that institutional needs and priorities are represented and understood by technology suppliers and wider stakeholders. The Tech Procurement Community promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional networking among those involved in technology procurement and commercial activities. Members exchange market intelligence, practical experiences and proven approaches to procurement, contract management and supplier engagement, helping institutions make informed decisions and achieve positive commercial outcomes. The community provides opportunities to discuss emerging trends, sector challenges and evolving procurement practices in a supportive peer environment. A key focus of the community is strengthening communication between the sector and technology suppliers. By engaging with both major providers and specialist suppliers serving education, the community helps improve understanding of the sector's unique requirements and encourages the development of products and services that better meet institutional needs. Through thought leadership, collaboration and the sharing of expertise, the Tech Procurement Community supports institutions in developing effective procurement strategies, fostering productive supplier partnerships and maximising the value of their technology investments.
