The UCISA User Experience (UX) Community is a welcoming network of professionals who are passionate about designing services, products and content around the needs of users. The community brings together colleagues from across higher and further education who work in, or have an interest in, disciplines such as UX design, UX research, service design, content design, content strategy, product design and UX leadership. By connecting practitioners from different backgrounds and levels of experience, the community creates opportunities for members to learn from one another, share expertise and advance user-centred practices across the sector. The community is united by a common goal: to build, grow and champion UX in education, helping institutions create more effective, accessible and user-focused experiences for students, staff and stakeholders. The User Experience Community provides a collaborative space where members can connect with peers, exchange ideas and develop their understanding of user-centred design. Through discussions, events, workshops and shared resources, members explore a wide range of topics, including UX design, UX strategy, UX research, service design, content design, content strategy and product design. The community encourages the sharing of experiences, challenges and successes, helping members learn from real-world practice and discover new approaches to improving user experiences. The community also promotes the value of UX across the sector, advocating for user-centred approaches to digital services, products and organisational change. By fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, it supports institutions in embedding UX principles into their work and delivering services that better meet the needs of their users. The community is open to anyone working in higher or further education who practises human-centred design or has an interest in putting users at the heart of decision-making, service development and digital transformation. Whether you are an experienced UX practitioner or just beginning your UX journey, the community offers a supportive environment for learning, collaboration and professional growth.
